Characters.

‘Strang the Terrible' the Strongest Man in the World and his young companion, Prince Bobo, lived in the Valley of the Giants. It was inhabited by horrible prehistoric monsters and the savage hairy man-like apes who lived in holes.

‘Dixon Hawke' the Worlds Greatest Detective was one of the poorer Thomson creations. His rooms in Dover Street were done for him by Mrs. Benvie, his ‘Watson' was a young Tommy Burke and a bloodhound called Soloman completed the line-up.

‘Baldy Hogan' of Burhill United could play in any position, had been capped for England before the war and had many Cup Final medals of that era.It was he who discovered that his goalkeeper was colour blind, so had the idea of putting a unique bullseye pattern on his teams shirts and stockings.

‘Solo Soloman' of the Singing Guns was one of the most successful western heroes created on this side of the Atlantic.
